Break Your Personal Barriers…

Break Your Personal Barriers

Improving your fitness and health is a great goal that benefits your body and mind. For some, however, it can be very difficult to get healthy on your own. That is why gyms, classes, and personal trainers can be so effective, but that’s not the only way you can push yourself to be better. In fact, giving yourself a challenge that forces you to push past your personal barriers can be just as effective when it comes to adopting a life of fitness.

Push Your Boundaries and Set a Great Goal for Your Personal Fitness

You can push your boundaries, get fit, have fun, and make new friends as you push yourself beyond what you have thought possible.

1. Set a Lofty Goal to Work Towards

Set a record for yourself that you can work towards. This doesn’t have to be a world record; it just has to be a big improvement to your own limitations. If you want to be able to run non-stop around a certain track, that’s a great goal. If you want to learn how to do a new trick in your sport, then push for it. Whatever your goal, it needs to be in line with something you desire.

2. Make a Challenge Between Friends

You don’t have to challenge yourself, either. Work with a group of friends to work towards a challenge together. If you don’t know anyone who would be interested, don’t let that stop you. Instead, go online and find groups that organise in your local area. You can join a local sports team, running team, workout team, and more!

3. Join an Event

Join a marathon, class, or another event that will give you a deadline and a great goal to work towards. You can bring together friends and family as well and all work towards smashing your personal barriers.

Be Inspired to Push Your Own Boundaries

It doesn’t matter how accomplished you are. There will always be new barriers to break. In some cases, these barriers might be your own. One such example is Eliud Kipchoge and the INEOS 1:59 Challenge. This gold medallist has won the London marathon four times, has represented and won his homeland Olympic medals, and is the current world record holder for the 2-hour marathon. He has accomplished so much, but still today, he is striving to push his own boundaries and beat the 2-hour limit.

The INEOS 1:59 Challenge is a marathon race that will take place on the 12th of October in Prater, Vienna. If the weather doesn’t permit that date, then the race can take place anywhere between the 13th to 20th of October. The goal is simple, to become the first sub two-hour marathon in the world. To break the world record. To smash the supposed two-hour marathon limit.

Find Your Own Inspiration

This is just one great example of even someone at the top of their field striving to be better than who they were the day before. Find your own inspiration and work to inspire others with your dedication.
